Just in case you didn't already think my child was a prodigy, I now have more proof! She has busted through the gender stereotypes that have plagued her gender for more than a millennium. The other day as I was putting her in the car I said, "Button, let's put you in the car." She looked at me very seriously and said, "Car" Now, true, it did come out sounding more like a Boston baby would, but she has relatives on the East Coast, so that is easily explained. ; ) Of course I reacted calmly and professionally by screaming and saying car over and over again. Now she probably thinks her name is car because since I've told this story to everyone, when they see her they say, "Car. . .Car" and wait expectantly for her to say it. And yes, her father is the worst! Seriously, it's pretty fun and she is starting to repeat us more and more. She loves saying hi and this morning when I got out of the car (Car. . .Car. . ) it was really cold so I said, "Brrrr" She looked at me and said "Brrr" Again, with the Boston accent so it sounded more like "Buh" Still pretty cute though.
Funny, cause Bard and I were sure she would be a very quiet child. . .
